Jesse has updated the latest Beta version of M3D; v184.108.40.206c testfile.
It's available for free download from FractalForums.com at: www.fractalforums.com/index.ph…
In Jesse's own words, in the 220.127.116.11c Test version:
"Some beta testing is needed because of compiler upgrading,
the changes belong to the intern light model, more options for the diffuse map,
panorama camera mode, stereo options.
Some issues should be solved, many new ones to find!
It is just the executable, you can take all directories with files from the previous
version if you need them, or adjust the ini-dirs to the existing ones.
Notice: the new stereo options must be used from the same starting parameters
to work properly, I will change this for easier handling. For now you have to undo
the parameters or reload default ones.
Notice2: in version 18.104.22.168 I changed it to an absolute behaviour, but there are some
issues with hard shadows and/or reflections that are not properly calculated yet!
This is subject to change, be aware that it is only a beta.
Please report any other issues!
1.797 update: light options now separated with adjustments, some navi changes with
adjustment of iteration count for formulas.
1.798 update: stereo should work now, some other little issues hopefully solved.
Still much to do. (_FoldingVar formula inside)
1.799 update: transparency support (beta), save intern image buffer along with m3i option.
1.799b update: MengerHyper+Navi works (inaccurate DE is based on formula), little fix for transparency
to get less noise (still a small issue), test if W2000 will work...
1.799c update: some issues solved, transparency gets a "Light Scattering" value.
Animation with positional lights should work again."
Please bear in mind that this is just the executable, so if you are
installing Mandelbulb 3D for the first time, you should download
the complete package - version 22.214.171.124 - from: www.fractalforums.com/index.ph…
Don't forget to D/L the latest update to Dark-Beam's formula pack - 'new fmlas.zip'
- can be downloaded from: www.fractalforums.com/mandelbu… Enjoy!!
