Major additions where made to fractal flame editor regarding to controlling image quality at the artist level. There is now an antialiasing option which you can specify at the transform level and some additional powerful gradient manipulation tools.

This is an encouragement to use POLYFOLD_SYM!
This transform adds a polygonal symmetry to a fractal, of specified order (order should be an integer number normally. Even orders are 100% continue while odd ones have a discontinuity plane... )

Normal PolyFolding did not allowed to choose a shift without breaking continuity instead this allows to do so! Try it.

Mouse editing fun: JWildfire V0.59 releaseThis time the new release has not really a lot of new features… but one new striking one: the long awaited view editing mode is now available

You can now just drag, rotate and zoom your fractal the way it should have been working from the first day

This mode is now the default editing mode, it works as follows:
- left mouse button: drag the fractal ("CentreX" and "CentreY")
- right mouse button: rotate ("Roll") the fractal

Plugin fun: JWildfire V0.52 releaseJust released JWildfire V0.52 after a rather long time.
I had started to create an alternative external renderer (specialized to render movies more quickly) in the meantime. This release is something like an "intermediate release". It has lots of internal optimizations, many new plugins to play with and some bugs fixed. But the new renderer is not yet included because this would have been just to much work in this time period.
So this release contains many smaller enhancements and you may look forward for the upcoming V0.53 which will bring up some really new stuff

Hi Joseph.

Can't imagine why you would lose all your formulas when updating M3D.

When you unzip the formulas, do you have WinZip set to 'overwrite and replace'? This will update all relevant formulas with the newer version. Alas, unless you keep older formula versions in a seperate dedicated folder, you may find that newer versions do give slightly different results - just the nature of M3D I'm afraid.

Older versions of M3D with formulas can still be downloaded from FractalForums, but darkbeams 'newfmlas.zip' is constantly updated, so older versions cannot be saved, unless you D/L and rename the zip file for later reference.

I actually use 7-zip mostly- and it's not exactly that the formulas disappear but that when I open the programa and look under the headings very few are available.

Have you updated your 'initial directories' in M3D? Go to the 'IniDir'
tab at the top left of M3D's main screen; there you can tell M3D where
to find all relevant files, including formulas. You'll need to restart
M3D for the updated directories to be activated.
